Traveller Operators Say That Some Ninety Per Cent Of Croatian Holiday-Goers Will Spend Their Holiday On Croatia's Shores.
More Croatians will spend this year's holidays in their Adriatic back yard due to unrest in previously preferred and reasonable destinations like Tunis, Egypt and Greece.
Traveller operators say that some 90 per cent of Croatian holiday-goers will spend their holiday on Croatia's shores.
Boris Teski from Adriatica.net says that the quantity of locals booking Croatian holidays is significantly higher than last year. Just in May, the increase was 25 percent over 2010 numbers. Kristijan Grzetic from Adriatica.net says that when May and June are taken together, the growth trend is between twenty and thirty per cent. "We are booking packages for abroad also , but we note an increased interest in the Adriatic. Disturbance in Tunisia and Greece have played a part when making a decision," announces Grzetic.
In 2010, 52 percent of Croatians planned having a vacation, with 41 percent making their plans a reality. This year, 51 per cent or 2 million citizens are considering packing their bathing suits and heading to the beach. The real results may not be known till a later date, as many will book at the last minute,as reported tagza.com.
