Easy Ways To Lose Weight After Giving Birth
If you aren't happy with the weight you've gained during your pregnancy, don't worry. You can lose those pounds without much hassle if you know what to do. You may be thinking that you will not have the time to exercise because your baby is so young that it needs to have you super close by almost all of the time. However, your baby likely naps often. If you get used to working out while your baby takes a nap, you won't have to wait a long time to see good results. Here are three specific things that you can do while your baby is napping that will supercharge your day and help you feel and look as good as you want!
The Reverse Curl: A woman who has just given birth to a baby will need to do some real work to get her abs back in shape and reverse curls can really help with that. For this particular exercise you need to lie down with your knees bent and look at the ceiling. With your feet on the floor near your hips, raise your hips off of the floor while you keep your head and arms on the floor and your neck muscles relaxed (don't forget to breathe in and out). Slowly go back to your starting position and then repeat the exercise. Try to do twenty reps if you can manage it. It's okay if you can't do 20 in the beginning, you can work up to that number. Then try working up to 50.
This exercise is great for your abs and will help you lose the pouch as well as helping you walk straight and with more confidence.
The Super Crunch: This abdominal exercise needs to be included in every workout after having a baby. For this exercise, lie face up with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. With your hands behind your head, inhale and exhale as you draw your abs in and lift your head and shoulders off the floor. Hold that position for a moment while you lift your knees up off of the floor until they touch your elbows (keep your hips off the ground). Then, slowly return to the start. Do three sets of twelve to twenty and your abdominals will be rock hard in no time, and that weight will start coming off too.
The classic crunch is an exercise most people already know how to do that helps greatly. To do a crunch you simply lie on the ground with hand behind your head and knees bent. Next inhale through your nose and exhale as the abs tighten lift your head and shoulders off the floor. Relax your buttocks and bring ribs in towards the hips. Slowly return to the starting position. As you work at doing these correctly also work at increasing the number you can do from a few to upwards of 50. Be careful not to harm yourself but after reaching 50 add some weight to increase your endurance and challenge.
