Take A Look At The Angelcare AC401
We bought a baby monitor so that we could keep a close watch on the baby while he slept or if we were in a separate room. I have no regrets about choosing an Angelcare monitor over the many other monitors that were on offer. Now, allow me tell you why.
What’s great about the Angelcare AC401?
It doesn’t just picks up sounds only, it also picks up movement! The AC401 monitor has a sensor pad for you to place underneath the baby’s bed mattress. The sensor pad can identify and detect a variety of movements from of your child. How’s that for technology?! An alarm will sound when triggered if no movement is detected at all for 20 seconds or more. However, you may change the amount of sensitivity to your level of comfort. The system could be set to ‘tic’ when movement is detected.
Plus: a nightlight and thermometer. The nursery unit of the Angelcare AC401 comes with a soft nightlight as well as a room thermometer. It was easy for us to monitor the temperature in our baby’s room from the parent unit. Temperature is in Fahrenheit for US baby monitors.
There are other features that make this monitor a good buy. Unlike other baby monitors, this particular Angelcare monitor contains 8 channels to minimize signal interference. There is also a locator for the parent unit, an out-of-range indicator, and you are able to voice activate the monitor. The color LCD screen makes it a whole lot simple for reading the indicators. Additionally, if you have a power outage, the unit automatically switches to battery mode.
What the Other Parents Say
Reviews and comments concerning the Angelcare AC401 seem to be mostly positive! But there has been one particular review that caught me. One mother mentioned that this monitor had actually saved her son's life. Since this is a baby monitor that detects motion, an alarm went off when the monitor did not detect any movement when her boy seemed to stop moving. She and her husband immediately hurried to the nursery just to find out that their son was not breathing! It was about 4 to 5 seconds after she picked up the baby that he started to gasp for air. The doctors found nothing wrong, but did say that this Angelcare monitor did prevent another case of SIDS.
