Struggling To Conceive - A Woman's Tale
My best friend has just telephoned me with some amazing and wonderful news - she is pregnant. Now for some of the readers of this article this may seem like just normal run of the mill news however for us it again is amazing. This is because she has been trying to conceive for the last 7 years and had started to wonder whether she would ever fall pregnant. In this article I will be writing about the ways in which she responded to the frustration of struggling to conceive - a response that has now led to this successful conclusion.
My best friend is called Paula and we have known each other for over thirty years. Paula became married to her husband Dave seven years ago and they have been trying for a baby ever since.
After a couple of years Paula was starting to become some what worried about the fact that there might have been some health reasons as to why she had not conceived therefore she and Dave went to see a consultant gynaecologist for various tests including ovarian reserve tests. Fortunately they were informed that everything was in order and that they should just keep trying.
Paula and Dave are both extremely positive people and they were both convinced that one day it would happen. They were determined not to worry or stress about the situation as they were aware that stressing and worrying would not help. They were quite prepared to go to an egg donation clinic if the need arose and even down the fostering route. This attitude is so essential and one which I think is what has now enabled Paula to become pregnant and is therefore the attitude that I would advise other people to adopt who are also struggling to fall pregnant.
I would also advise people to visit a local infertility consultant just in case there is anything wrong which may need some form of treatment. Good luck and just keep believing.
